How to use this counter
Enter at least three different headlines and two descriptions. Each field shows its estimated weighted length and a clear warning if the reference limit is exceeded. The preview demonstrates one possible combination, not the final ad. Copy your assets and validate them inside Google Ads before publishing.
For practical examples, see our Google Ads headline and description guide and the official Google Ads specifications.
Google Ads responsive search ad character limits
Google Ads responsive search ads have separate headline (30), description (90), and display path (15) limits. You may enter 3 to 15 headlines and 2 to 4 descriptions. Chinese, Japanese and Korean double-width characters count as two according to Google Ads specifications. PostChars estimates these limits in your browser. Google Ads is the final authority on valid ad assets.
