Our tools process your text locally in your browser. We do not require an account to use them.

Text that you enter

When you paste or type text into our counters and formatters, the tool runs in your browser. The application does not send your text to our server for processing. If you download a file, your browser generates the file locally. Content you choose to copy or share is under your control.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate site usage and performance. If you choose to allow analytics in the privacy preferences, we also load Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-WZ4YYSH63V) on the homepage and text-tool pages. It records page views and tool interaction events such as starting to use a tool, copying or downloading text, applying a text transformation, and selecting a platform limit. Event parameters may include the page type, action, platform and text length. We do not send the actual text you enter, paste, transform or copy to Google Analytics. Google may process technical information such as browser and device details, approximate location, page information and online identifiers under its own privacy terms. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising

If you choose to allow advertising in the privacy preferences, PostChars loads an Adsterra Native Banner advertising unit on the homepage and text-tool pages. No Adsterra unit is placed on the About, Privacy or Contact pages. Adsterra and its advertising partners may process technical and advertising data such as your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, referrer, ad impressions and ad interactions. They may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention and, depending on their practices and your choices, ad personalisation. Advertising content and partner requests are controlled by the advertising network, not by PostChars. Read Adsterra’s Privacy Policy and its Cookies Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to operate without cookies for visitor tracking. Google Analytics and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies when you grant the relevant permission. Your privacy preference is stored in this browser’s local storage under the key postchars-consent-v1. Your choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. Use “Privacy choices” in the site footer to change or withdraw your optional permissions; on this policy page, use the Privacy choices link below. Rejecting optional services prevents the Google Analytics and Adsterra scripts from loading on subsequent visits and stops further optional tracking on the current page where supported. Strictly necessary technical measures used for security and service delivery may still operate.

Infrastructure and service providers

We use Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, security and aggregate website analytics. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes network requests to deliver pages and protect the service. Google Analytics and Adsterra are optional third-party services and are loaded only on the homepage and text-tool pages after you grant the corresponding permission. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for information about its processing practices.

Our website may link to external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Retention and your choices

PostChars does not maintain a database of text entered into our tools. You can clear the text editor at any time or close the page. Website usage and security data may be retained by our infrastructure provider under its applicable policies.
